John & Lisa Van Cleef have been married for 18 years. They have four children: Alexandra (16), Michael (14), Caleb (12) and Libby (5). Currently stationed at the Salvation Army Orange County Coordination Center and the Salvation Army Church at Tustin Ranch, the Van Cleefs have been Salvation Army officers for 15 years.

John is a veteran of the US Army, having served as Military Police in Panama from 1989-1992.  He is a graduate of George Fox University, with a degree in Organizational Management.  John is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and is working toward CFRE certification.  He is presently in the Masters of Theology program at Fuller Seminary.  John's hobbies include running, playing guitar and Sudoku.

Lisa graduated from the University of Washington with dual degrees in Political Science and Communication (Journalism).  She enjoys photography and has an unhealthy need to create forms in Excel.   Lisa l-o-v-e-s to Scrapbook.

As a family, the Van Cleefs enjoy game night (favorites include cards, “Settlers of Catan” and “Ticket to Ride”), college football and going to the beach.
 

The Van Cleefs desire to bring God joy through their living and believe with all their hearts the words of 1 Thessalonians 5:24: “Faithful is He who calls you, and He will bring it to pass.”
